I have the honour to confirm my conversation of January

26th, and to re nest that the following points may be investigate,

and rulings made upon them.

(1) will the Nationalist Government of China grant per-

mission for British owned commercial aircraft to be

operated for serial mail, passenger and freight ser-

vices to and from Hong Kong?

The actual routes under consideration at the present

(2) What regulations will the Nationalist Government re-

quire British Commercial Aircraft to conform with in

China?

(3) To what extent will the British regulations be en-

forced upon Chinese Commercial airera:t landing in,

or taking off from, British territory. (Hong Kong}

(4) What Rules and Regulations are in force controling the

importation of aireraft, sere-engines and aeronauti-

cal eccessories into China?

(5) To what extent is it advisable to encourage Chinese

Aviation with a view to assisting the British Air-

craft Industry?
